My name is Darin Baumgartel. I am a Ph.D. candidate in physics at Northeastern University, working on high-energy particle physics, a field which relies heavily on distributed computing, optimized signal detection, simulations, and statistics.
The purpose of this blog is to explore some practical examples of code used for the analysis of data, using both large and small sets of data. It will focus on topics like machine-learning, python, exploring large datasets, and algorithm design.
